Things I am excited about this (late) evening:
Watching The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Reunion:Part 1 RIGHT NOW!!! (And I do think that Matt is more excited than I am to watch this!)
Watching Bachelor Pad because it is almost entertaining as the Housewives.
Eating a Skinny Cow Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Sandwich (hopefully it will live up to the hype I have created in my head)!
Going to bed.

Me: Oh, yeah, why?
Student: They walked form other states so they could be a 'Happy California Cow.'

I don’t know if I have ever mentioned this, but I was a college athlete. I played golf through middle school, high school, and was fortunate enough to be offered a scholarship to play golf in college. So while I was a student athlete, we were required to condition three mornings a week at an ungodly hour of the morning, before we went to classes. (And, yes, golf is a sport…and, yes,...

School = Busy
I have been negligent and have not posted much these past few weeks! I still want to put up some pictures from Beach Week 2010, but school is CRAZY! A New Year Has Begun
Today was the first day of my second school year teaching. It was a pretty good, very busy day. I am looking forward to seeing what this year brings. I have spent the better part of the previous week readying my classroom, and I am finally glad to get started!

Calling All Teachers...
I am wondering what kinds of discipline systems you are using or have used that work.
I am starting my second year of teaching and I am still on the fence as to which system I want to use this year. Last year was a rough one…I went through multiple systems because nothing (positive or negative) seemed to get through to my students.
So I am asking for tips/advice/suggestions for anything...

Back to Reality
Matt and I arrived home this evening after the conclusion of Beach Week 2010 (pictures and details to follow very soon!). There is always that dreaded feeling that comes when vacation ends and work/life/reality is looming ahead, which I was definitely feeling this morning. The thing I hate the most about returning home is the unpacking! Especially after a week long trip such as this one!
But...
